Kirk Sanford’s Latest Venture: Sightline Acquisition Corp.
After over 14 years in the cash access industry as the CEO of Global Cash Access, Kirk Sanford is now
managing Sightline Acquisition, a Special Purpose Acquisition Corporation, or SPAC, also known as a Blank Check Company. As a SPAC, Sightline Acquisition was formed for the purpose of raising capital through issuance of an IPO, or Initial Public Offering in order to invest in and complete one or more business deals.
These special types of corporations are managed by highly qualified and thoroughly respected investors. They are relatively low risk ventures due to the fact that the anticipated business transaction must occur within two to three years of the inception of the SPAC. If, for whatever reason no deal is completed within the time allotment, the investors recover all their money minus the relatively small administrative expenses the management team incurred.
